After spending most of the movie trying (and failing) to battle Nica Pierce (Fiona Dourif), Chucky sends himself to Andy’s house in an attempt to kill his now-adult nemesis. He’s seemingly not in trouble with the police anymore, but he’s more than ready for Chucky’s bulls***. He makes his return (once more played by Vincent) in 2013’s Curse of Chucky. Andy ends the movie by surrendering himself to police custody for questioning.Īndy does not directly appear in Bride of Chucky or Seed of Chucky, though he’s briefly referenced in both. Andy struggles to convince Tyler that Chucky is evil, but eventually, he is able to defeat Chucky once again, this time by pushing him into a giant fan. When Chucky returns, he’s set his sights not on Andy but on a new victim, 8-year-old Ronald Tyler (Jeremy Sylvers). In 1991’s Child’s Play 3, Andy (played now by Justin Whalin) is 16 and living at a military academy, where he’s been told in no uncertain terms to knock it off with this killer doll bogus.
This is still not the last time that Andy battles Chucky, but he’s already becoming something of a doll-killing pro. This time, Andy plays a more direct role in defeating the evil doll, pouring molten plastic on him and helping to jam an air hose in his mouth. (This will be a reoccurring theme throughout Andy’s life.) Chucky makes Andy’s life a living hell before attempting once more to transfer his soul into the boy, though he’s unsuccessful. Now an 8-year-old, Andy is living with foster parents because his mom is undergoing psychiatric evaluation since nobody believes her crazy story about a killer doll. Therefore, viewers should keep their eyes open for an Andy Barclay return late in the game.Chucky comes back, though, as does Andy, in 1990’s Child’s Play 2. Despite the show’s best efforts to convince us that Andy Barclay is finally dead, the door is still open on Alex Vincent’s return to the fold. Hence, it is only fitting that his arch nemesis would also follow a similar pattern. After all, Chucky has seemingly died several times only to emerge and continue his twisted charade. Since there is no dead body, it would be unwise to assume that Andy is dead. After the truck falls from the cliff and explodes, we do not see Andy. Furthermore, the last we see Andy, he is driving the truck. If the Chucky doll is from the batch that Andy took with him, there is still hope of Andy surviving the near-fatal incident. Hence, it is evident that not all dolls were destroyed in the truck crash.
However, as the episode progresses, a Chucky doll returns to Hackensack and starts tormenting Jake, Dvon, and Lexy. Therefore, there is little chance of Andy surviving. When his car falls off the cliff and into the valley, it explodes and catches fire. Therefore, Andy sacrifices himself to stop Chucky and avenge Kyle’s death. Moreover, the episode also confirms that Chucky and Tiffany killed Kyle in the season 1 finale. Since his first interaction with the killer doll, Andy has made it his mission to destroy Chucky. In the episode, Andy drives off a cliff and is prepared to sacrifice himself to destroy all the Chucky dolls. The second season premiere seemingly confirms that after battling Chucky for nearly three decades, Andy Barclay has finally bit the dust. He then drives off a cliff with the truck, likely destroying all the Chucky dolls. The second season premiere reveals that Andy manages to distract Tiffany and disarms her. She forces Andy to continue driving, and his fate is left unresolved. However, a Tiffany doll emerges from the truck and holds Andy at gunpoint. He drives the truck filled with Chucky dolls away from the city and hopes to destroy them. However, Andy arrives just in time to foil the doll’s plans. In the season one finale, titled ‘ An Affair to Dismember,’ Chucky prepares to unleash an army of dolls in his former hometown. Eventually, they arrive in Hackensack and aid Jake, Devon, and Lexy. Andy and his foster sister, Kyle, are trying to destroy all the Chucky dolls.
