Our witness to the world must begin with our own intimate understanding of who Jesus is, what He’s done and what He is coming back to do. My hope is that we as a church body will be excited about the Word of God and passionate about Jesus whom it reveals. I think the list is a great compilation of scripture and could easily serve as a kick starter into bible study and devotional time on Jesus’ second coming and end times bible prophesy. Today, I watched a message from Pastor Robert and in it he teaches on 21 facts of Jesus’ 2nd coming and gives verses for each fact (or biblical prophecy). It’s been three years since we lived in Dallas, but we still visit the Gateway Church website to watch messages. We were greatly ministered to during that time and received some much needed healing. It was very important for us to be a part of a healthy church and to sit under deep and sound biblical teaching. My husband and I had the opportunity to be led in worship by Kari Jobe and taught by Pastor Robert Morris and just really loved on by some great people. My favorite part of living in Dallas was the barbecue, umm no not really, it was being a member of Gateway Church.

With Jesus, we can be truly free forever.Before I moved back to California a few years ago, my family and I lived in Dallas, Texas. Jesus saves us, trains us to resist the power of evil, and delivers us from anything that holds us back. These long-imbedded patterns of shameful living continue to entangle us day after day, month after month, and even year after year.Īlthough evil is real and Christians can be oppressed by it, we have the promise that the one who is in us is greater than the one who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Maybe it’s a sin we’ve confessed again and again or a constant struggle with depression, anger, or lust.
Even if we’re saved and trust in Christ, we may still find areas in which we just can’t get victory. Christ has conquered sin and death, but in his infinite wisdom-for reasons that are often difficult for us to understand-evil is still permitted to exist. Yet it’s also true that we are not immune to the effects of evil. As believers, we have Christ and never need to be afraid. Jesus said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me” (Matthew 28:18).
